There have been some surprises so far this NFL season, not to mention some disappointments, and plenty of them have come in the AFC.

The Cincinnati Bengals, who were expected to arguably be the favorites to win the conference, are 1-2 and have some serious question marks, starting with the health of quarterback Joe Burrow.

Meanwhile, a few teams have done unexpectedly well and are looking like serious contenders.

Micah Parsons, the Dallas Cowboys’ standout pass rusher, named his top four AFC teams, per B/R Gridiron, and one of his teams was a surprise.

At No. 1, he had the Miami Dolphins, who are looking like world beaters after their 70-20 destruction of the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Their offense is as explosive as it gets, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continues to grow and progress, and their running game has been unexpectedly strong.

Miami was able to score 70 points against a good Denver defense even without star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, which makes them seem even scarier moving forward.

At No. 2, Parsons has the Kansas City Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champs who started to look spry again when they defeated the Chicago Bears, 41-10, in Week 3.

They had looked wobbly in their first two games, but with stars Travis Kelce and Chris Jones back, they may now start to take off.

But many will be surprised to learn that Parsons has the Cleveland Browns at No. 3.

Although the Browns are 2-1, they lost star running back Nick Chubb to a season-ending injury, yet Parsons cited their defense, which is tops in points and total yards allowed.

Parsons then put the Buffalo Bills in the fourth spot on his list, who rebounded from their stunning Week 1 overtime loss at the New York Jets to win two games in blowout fashion.
