The 2023 NFL Season is the first year an Aaron Rodgers-led team will appear on Hard Knocks.

It was recently announced that the New York Jets are this year’s selection, despite not volunteering to appear.

While the team might have not wanted to be on the show, it appears that Rodgers is taking this opportunity in stride.

During a conversation with a reporter at the American Century Championship, Rodgers said, “I understand the appeal with us.”

The Jets have been one of the most discussed teams of the offseason, mainly due to Rodgers’ presence.

After finishing the 2022 season having one of the league’s best defenses, the Jets’ offense left something to be desired.

With any luck, Hard Knocks can capture their road to redemption, putting the pieces together, and making the playoffs for the first time in 10 years.

Rodgers indicated that he’s fully aware of the expectations that are put on him, saying, “There’s a lot of eyes on me.”

As four-time league MVP, fans are not only hoping that Rodgers can lead them to the promised land, but it has felt like a requirement at times.

The team gave up significant capital to get him and utilized many resources to build the best possible team around Rodgers.

How will the Jets’ offense fare in Rodgers’ first season?

The AFC East could pose a difficult test for Rodgers and the Jets, given their successes in the 2022 season.

If they want to contend for a playoff spot, they’ll have to do well within the division.
