For months, the Buffalo Bills have been tied to a move for a big-name wide receiver.

First, it was Odell Beckham Jr., who obviously ended up taking a huge contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

Then, it was DeAndre Hopkins, with the team reportedly trying to trade for him even before the Arizona Cardinals decided to release him.

Hopkins is still a free agent, so technically, they could still sign him.

Nonetheless, NFL analyst Bill Barnwell states that as good a player as Hopkins is, getting him could actually hurt the team’s chemistry.

Things seem to be quite volatile in Buffalo already, with superstar wideout Stefon Diggs clearly being frustrated with his involvement in the offense.

Hopkins could either be an insurance policy or he could ruin the chemistry for good, so Barnwell has a point right there.

There have been some reports in the past about Hopkins not exactly being an easy-going person, and Diggs is clearly the alpha dog in that locker room.

Notably, Hopkins has also been tied to a move to the New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans, but he’s reportedly in no rush to get a deal done as he still hopes a contending team will be willing to meet his asking price.

Still, most teams in the league seem to believe his best years are already far behind him, and it’ll be tough to find a team willing to outbid the Patriots or Titans, who desperately crave a clear-cut No. 1 option in their underwhelming passing games.
