The fight started on Sunday afternoon after a group of women reportedly assaulted a waitress at the venue when she tried to charge them.

The alleged victim is said to have stepped in when the attack happened, according to the respected island newspaper Diario de Ibiza.

The Brit, who was drunk at the time of the attack, is said to have fled the scene after leaving the hotel chief with serious injuries.

The victim, a Spanish woman believed to be aged around 30, was rushed to a nearby private clinic called Nuestra Señora del Rosario where she was operated on that night before a second operation the following day.

The Civil Guard has launched an investigation and is searching the island to locate the suspect.

It comes as another British tourist was arrested at Majorca’s Palma Airport after allegedly raping his girlfriend at their hotel on the island.

The man was held as he tried to fly home after his partner went to Spanish police to say he had forced himself on her in the bathroom of their hotel room.

Meanwhile, a shocking video shows the moment a British holidaymaker was violently beaten by nightclub bouncers in a Greek seaside resort.

The footage shows three men grabbing the tourist and carrying out the attack while a fourth repeatedly hits him.
