The Kansas City Chiefs are no longer the offensive juggernaut of old.

Eric Bieniemy’s departure hurt their play-calling and explosiveness, as Matt Nagy proved during his days in Chicago that he’s not exactly an offensive architect.

But more than that, the Chiefs’ lack of talent in the receiving corps has hurt the team over and over, up to the point where they’ve now been blanked in the second half in four consecutive games.

With that in mind, former Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman stated on “Undisputed” that the only reason their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles was close was thanks to their defense, as they kept them in the game by sacking Jalen Hurts five times in the first half.

Sherman stated that the Eagles should’ve won and won because they’re the better team; it’s as simple as that.

More than that, he stated that with receivers like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, everybody knows there’s always a chance that he’s going to drop a pass.

Sherman stated that outside of Mahomes and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs simply don’t have anything on offense, as Isiah Pacheco can get going at times, but he’s not elite.

And when Kelce isn’t having a great game, then Mahomes simply doesn’t have anywhere to go.

This Chiefs team will always have a chance to win because they have the best quarterback in the game.

But even the best QB needs someone to throw the football to, and that’s why this Chiefs team will have a tough time going back-to-back this season.
